11/4/2008: A Date to Remember

1 star-shaped doughnut with patriotic sprinkles = free
1 scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream = free
1 cup of Thanksgiving Blend Starbucks Coffee = free
Voting for the very first time and experiencing history = priceless

It feels kind of silly to be rewarded for doing something that comes so naturally. I may be wrong but I can't recall an election where companies wanted to give us things in exchange for voting. I've been waiting for what feels like forever to have my voice heard and tomorrow I finally get the chance to have a say in who will represent us on a global scale. Hopefully this election has opened many eyes to how crucial voting really is. And hopefully we will be able to say Sayonara! to the times when young adults cared more about who was on AIM more than who would be picked to run our country.

However, I am extremely excited to go back to the normal Viagra and Restless Leg Syndrome commercials and ditch the political ads! The mute button has become my best friend, more than ever before. I'm also happy to get back to the times where human beings actually communicate without bullying one another because of their political views. So many friendships get ruined during election time and I think it's such a shame. Boston Legal is even covering this matter as I type this, haha...

On a lighter note, the pumpkin I carved has now caved in on itself! I knew it would happen eventually but I did not expect it to go all "woe as me" so soon. I put a lot of effort into my pumpkin this year....behold, the Mickey Mouse pumpkin!

That's an awesome pumpkin! I carved one for an event in Boston, but it came out nowhere near as well as yours. :-)

Also, thanks for signing up to follow my blog! As you probably saw, I'm just getting back into writing there for the first time in two years, and as far as I know, you're my first follower on Blogger! So I just wanted to say a quick thanks, and wish you the best on your site!

Also -- I saw in your profile that you do media work. As a fellow media person (digital video editing, along with narrative and documentary film production), I was curious about what type of work you do.
